EdWords Writing Services

With over 25 years experience in media and communications as a researcher, writer, interviewer, editor, director, producer, and narrator, I have written literally hundreds of scripts for dramatic, documentary, corporate, educational and news programs and presentations for provincial, national, and international broadcast, as well as project and marketing proposals, script treatments and analysis, press releases, speeches, corporate website material, and product and entertainment analysis and review.

I believe that part of my strength as a freelancer has been my chameleon-like ability to adapt my skills and experience to any medium, including corporate communications and website production and content development.  I am used to working under the pressure of tight deadlines without freaking out too much (just ignore the slight facial tic, it’s nothing...)  I know the necessity and value of being part of an effective team, but I am also disciplined enough to make creative decisions independently when required.

I have a personal passion for writing for children, with credits that include Goosebumps for the Fox Network (U.S.), Mentors, Maximum Dimension, Incredible Story Studio, Fred Penner’s Place, Puttnam’s Prairie Emporium, Nilus the Sandman, and the Gemini award-winning drama The Garden for CBC, CTV, YTV, and Family Channel (Canada).

Experience in writing documentary and reality-based programming and series, with credits that include Crime Stories, Re-Inventors, Innovation Nation, I Prophesy, What On Earth, Disasters of the Century, My Global Adventure, Legend Hunters, Survivors, and Family & Friends, for broadcasters that include The History Channel, TLC, Discovery, W, Travel, the Food Network, and many more.
